Club Night

Here are some pics from the last club meeting. We played WWII in 20mm. Rules system was Behind Omaha but with a little tinkering as usual.

It was early Germans (me+ Volker) against French (Marcel+ Markus). It ended with a total disaster for the Germans getting blown to pieces from a horde of French heavies.

Today a nice parcel arrived from the caster (Hagen Miniatures). The Mexican Riders arrived, so will be soon available in their shop.

Look for the Coal Ridge Models label.

One thing to mention is that the horse reins are not cast. They are a bit too thin so always broke when we try to pack the horses in the mould. I use thin metal foil when rebuilding them

Pancho and his bunch are on the way.

Well here my friends are the pictures of the masters of my new Mexicans.
There will be 4 models in the first step and another 4 maybe in a month or two.

The models will be available through Hagen Miniatures so stay tuned.

Now Pancho got his horse......finally

Just to give a quick update on my Mexican project I started a  year ago.
Some of you may know that I am the owner of the little Coal Ridge Models label.
A few minutes ago I recieved a note from my sculptor Massimo that he found the time to start wih the mounted mexican bandits.
Two batches of 4 models each. And yes there will be a mounted Raquel Welch type figure.

Viva Pancho, Viva la revolution, Viva Mexico

Some Ebay catchings

Over the last weks I was very busy at work. So I did not find time to post something. Well the problem was more to have time to take pictures as when I came back from work it was right in the middle of the night.
To cut a long story short last week I tumbled over while visiting my doctor. My heart preassure was a little bit too high. A bit like with "Hulk" but without turning grren. Hahaha.
So one week time to do something for the hobby.
I painted some models (around 80 at the moment) for my friend Uwe and his Poitiers project.

Of those of you who did not know. We gather once per year to build something truly big. Normally in between 8-13.000 Models. lets see how much we can paint until then.

The pics below are from an Ebay catch I made. The knights are from Essex and the Elves are from GW from the 80s. Together with the boxes of shields just 23 Euros (around 17 Pounds) for the lot.

Old Hammer Stuff

Some of you might know that I am a fanatic collector of everything old in the hobby.
Especially I like old GW Models from the 80s and early 90s. Since this is the time when I started playing warhammer. It was the time of Warhammer 3rd Edition and models were a mix of old Grenadier, ral Partha and Citadel/marauder.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas And A Happy And Peaceful 2015 to all my friends and followers.

It is a funny thing that especially during the Christmas days i do find time to think about this and that.
When I started blogging a few years ago I could not imagine coming into contact with fellow bloggers and hobbyists around the hobbyworld.

This year I did attend the anual blogger meeting at Salute London for the second time and it was great to see you all again. Also did I find to attend some more shows like the FIGZ in Netherland or the Crisis in Antwerp /Belgium.

Another new thing for me this year was that I was attending these shows not only as a hobby nerd but also as the owner of my small label. Belive it or not one starts talking to others in a little different way. O.K. I love to hear what they paint/collect/game but apart from gaming it is also ideas that kept my focussing on. Fran fron the "Posties Rejects" gave me a simple but great advice. Do what you think is right. Sounds simple but think of it for yourselves.
For me that means more Wild West Hollywood stuff. Why?? Simply put I love it. The sale numbers for my label say that this is not the best of ideas but anyway I like it. So last week I gave the hopefully next stage a push and that is Wild West houses. Lets see what will come.

Apart from my label Frans advice meant for me that I paint the things I like and not so much the things needed for play.

But no enough of my ramblings.

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New year. May Santa bring you all lots of calories and fun.

Cheerio my friends lets see again in 2015.
