Crisis Antwerp the 3rd

So back to posting my pics from the Crisis show in Antwerp.
Here we go....

20mm World War Two. This is from a fantastic 20mm Rapid Fire game. It was really full of Eye Candy.

This was a must see. This Sci Fi /Fantasy game was presented as a two storey game. with an upper floor and a lower dungeon floor. Nice idea. really a nice idea.

Naval warfare with quite large galleys. Although I took just a few photos it was a fascinating table to watch

54mm or was it larger?? I cannot remember but these models were large. ECW on a bigger scale.

20mm Wild West Yiiiihhooooo. I really love these. Wild West is one of my favourites. No flickering through pages and pages of books to have the right uniform. Watch a good old John Wayne movie and that is all...

Culloden!!?? Well I think it was Culloden. Great table but not much scenery. Don't get me wrong. With scenery I mean those little vignettes you see besides the rank and file. Generals bases and preachers giving a prayer to the fallen, etc...
Anyway a nice spectacle.

American Civil War. Another on where I stopped and stood for quite a time and watched.

Crisis2013 Pics 1

I promised to post some pic from the Crisis show in Antwerp/Belgium.
I was there with my some friends last Saturday. 
So here they are.

These are from a very nice Samurai table. All models are 28mm. Gameplay was Muskets and Tomahawks modified for Samurai warfare.

Some Back of Beyond / Wildest Afrika. Also 28mm with a fantastic Steamer. reminds me much of the Old Quatermain movies.

This one is a 20mm WWI table. Models are as far as I can say from Hat Miniatures. All 20mm sacle plastics. The explosions hat some small LED bulbs in it to give a great flickering explosion effect.

Crisis 2013 Antwerp

Hi freinds. It has been a bit quite with me the last month. While having a lot of work (again9 it did not find the time to post any pictures. But I promise to do soon.
so waht have I done. First my Tong Gang for Legends of the Old West are nearing completion. Just the bases need some gravel and flock. So that gives my Gang Leader, the notorious Lee Chee, some power to really mob up the town. The laundry business is really hard you know.
Beside them a big box of goodies from Warlord gams did arrive today. As some might know they had a plastic sprue sale last week and I bought some Roman Veterans for just a few pieces O' eight, har har...
That bringst my to the main titele of this post. Pirates. Well my club will visit the crisis show in antwerp the coming Saturday. For those who did not know. It is a bit like Salute in London, just smaller and for me just a two hours travel by car. Just hit the "Autobahn" here in Duisburg/Germany and then straight on through the Netherlands up to Belgium. I plan to have a look for some Pirateplunder. To be precise some Pirates for Legends of The High Seas and maybe some Royal Marines. Lets see what I find.
After being back I will place some photos here.
Is anyone coming there ? Would be nice to see each other and having a beer or vlaii.

Some models I made for various armies

As I am always collecting and painting for various things/armies here are some new and not so new models I made.

The Old marauder Minis Treeman. I like these more than the newer ones as these in my humble opinion look more like a montrous tree. I have two of these but actually the other one is not painted. It is part of my growing Wood Elves (same say Tree Huggars) Army. Most of the models in these Army are from Citadel and Marauder back in the 80s. The newer Ones are too comical in my opinion.

An old GW Chaos Dwarf. Back in the 80s there were a lot of them available. They once were part of the Chaos Army back when 3ed was the rule to play. Sadly they once growed into there own Army in the Nineties. Remember the ones with the cylinder Hats?? Very comical Army.

A beastmen and a Plaguebearer. Also from the 80s. Gw then had beastmen specifically for one of the four chaos powers. The One above it a Khorne Champion for the beastmen. The Plaquebearer wait for his shiny hardcoat to lookmore sinister and of course ---slimey----

These Confederates where painted by my around 20 years ago. They are all from Dixon. A maker who ranks very high in my wants list. Every yearat salute I visit his small stand to buy some models. During the last years these were mostly from the Wild West and French and Indian Wars range. I use them with the Legends of the Old West rules. The Confederates simply decorate my DVD shelves. I never played with them but had so much fun chosing the right models for this firing line. All are different.

Escher Ganger for Necromunda. Well the first one is actually for the Sisters of Battle Army but I choose to use her for my Escher Gang.
